Rosy Avalos Eichelberger grew up in Muscatine, Iowa. Born in Brownsville, Texas, her family moved to Muscatine when she was two years old. Rosy received her Associate’s degree in Business Administration/Accounting, with Honors, in 1997 from Muscatine Community College, received her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Iowa in 1999, and achieved her Juris Doctor degree in 2002 from the University of Iowa.
Rosy practices in the areas of real estate, estate planning and probate. For the past 17 years, she practiced in a transactional firm in rural Iowa with her husband, John. Rosy has become known among the Iowa Bar Association in her practice areas by presenting at continuing education seminars across the state for over 10 years. She believes it is important to give back to the community and has volunteered her time on multiple boards. Her past service includes President and Treasurer of the Muscatine County Bar Association, President of the MCC Alumni Association, Chairman of the Board for the Greater Muscatine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Chairperson of the Muscatine County Civil Service Commission, as well as being a member of the Grievance Commission of the Supreme Court of Iowa, Board Member for the United Way of Muscatine, and an Adjunct Instructor of Business Law for Iowa Wesleyan College.
Rosy is married with four children, Cassie, Cody, Ellen and Sam. She fills her free time exploring the Des Moines metro area with her husband, John, and maltese, Mio, or making memories with her five grandchildren, Rhynn, Catalina, Adam, Roy and Daniel.
