JONES COUNTY, IA - A driver hit a child sledding on the 13000 block of Buffalo Rd on Wednesday, according to WHO 13.
The child was on a sled going downhill in a westbound direction when they entered the path of the driver's northbound GMC Envoy and was hit.
Rescue crews transported the child to an area hospital in critical condition.
Officials have not released the names of the driver or child.
The Iowa State Patrol is investigating the incident.
