LEE COUNTY, IA - Two people are dead following a two-vehicle crash on northbound US 218 and CR J40 Wednesday, according to KWQC.
A 73-year-old woman was driving a PT Cruiser on westbound CR J40 when she collided with the driver's side door of a semi-truck operated by a 53-year-old man around 4:30 p.m.
The collision ejected the 75-year-old male passenger from the PT Cruiser. Rescue crews pronounced both occupants of the PT Cruiser dead at the scene of the accident.
The Iowa State Patrol is investigating the collision.
