WATERLOO, IA - A man and his dog died in a house fire on the 500 block of Hope Ave Tuesday, according to KCRG.
Fire crews responded to the house around 9 a.m. The house was on fire and filled with smoke when crews arrived.
Firefighters found an unconscious man and a dog inside the home. Both the man and the dog died.
Officials have not released the victim's name.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
