RED OAK, IA - A driver fatally collided with a semi-truck at US 34 and Eastern Ave Sunday, according to WHO 13.
A 68-year-old man was driving a pickup truck east on US 34 when he strayed into oncoming traffic and hit the front driver's side of a semi-truck driven by a 54-year-old man. The pickup truck driver was not wearing a seatbelt.
Rescue crews transported the pickup truck driver to an area hospital, where he died.
The semi-truck driver suffered minor injuries in the incident.
