CAROL COUNTY, IA - Officials have released additional information concerning a fatal crash between an SUV and a semi-truck at Hwy 141 and 330th St Wednesday, according to We Are Iowa.
A 29-year-old male was driving an SUV west on Hwy 141 when he strayed into eastbound traffic and collided head-on with a semi-truck around 5:50 a.m.
The collision pushed the SUV into a cable barrier and sent the semi-truck into a ditch.
Rescue crews pronounced the 29-year-old dead at the scene of the accident and transported the semi-truck driver to an area hospital.
