DES MOINES, IA - A hit-and-run driver hit a pedestrian on the 2800 block of Douglas Ave Wednesday, according to We Are Iowa.
Authorities found the car involved in the incident two miles from the scene of the accident and arrested a 70-year-old man in connection with the crash.
Rescue crews transported the pedestrian to an area hospital in critical condition.
Authorities have not released the name of the victim.
