WELLSBURG, IA - A crash on U.S. 20 near the Wellsburg exit claimed the lives of three children and one young adult Friday, according to We Are Iowa.
The driver of a 15-passenger van was heading west on U.S. 20 when the driver lost control of the vehicle because of adverse weather conditions around 7 a.m. The van rolled over and came to rest in the eastbound lane of traffic.
Four people died in the incident. Rescue crews transported the survivors to area hospitals.
