DES MOINES, IA - A driver was hurt when they crashed their car while eluding police on E McKinley Ave Wednesday night, according to WHO 13.
At around 7:12 p.m., an officer attempted to pull over Keith Williams, 49, because his license plate frame blocked the state identification but Williams drove off.
Williams crashed on the 400 block of E McKinley Ave.
Crews transported Williams to an area hospital with minor injuries. He was released from the hospital Thursday and was arrested.
Authorities charged Williams with Eluding, 5 counts of Controlled Substance Violation, Failure to Display Registration Plate, 5 counts of Failure to Affix Drug Stamp, and Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.
