News: Head-on crash in Cedar Rapids injures 3

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA - A head-on crash in northeast Cedar Rapids on Monday afternoon left three people with minor injuries.

According to CBS 2 Iowa, the crash happened within the 300 block of Rosedale Road, just north of Indian Creek at about 3:21 p.m.

Officers say the 16-year-old driver of a Honda Accord failed to maintain their lane when making a turn, causing the vehicle to collide head-on with a Toyota Tundra.

Both the juvenile passenger in the Honda and the driver of the Toyota were taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance with minor injuries.

The Honda's driver was also driven to the hospital by a family member. That individual was found to be at-fault and issued several citations.
