POLK COUNTY, IA - According to We Are Iowa, a driver died after hitting a semi-truck on I-80 Sunday.
A 54-year-old male was driving a Hyundai Sonata east on I-80 when he strayed off the road and struck the rear of an unoccupied semi-truck at 2:11 a.m. The 54-year-old driver died in the collision.
The incident is under investigation by the Iowa Highway Patrol.
