News: House catches on fire during police incident in Boone

BOONE, IA - Police were responding to a no-contact order violation at a home in the 1300 block of College St when the house caught on fire Monday, according to We Are Iowa.

Officers arrived at the house around 2:43 p.m. The subject of the no-contact order, Michael Glynn, was the only person at the house.

Authorities tried to get Glynn to exit the house, but he remained inside.

While this was happening, a fire broke out inside the home and spread to the entire structure before catching a neighboring garage on fire due to high winds.

Glynn fled the area to a neighboring garage. He was apprehended around 4:44 p.m. and taken to an area hospital
