News: Firefighters respond to car explosion at home in Cedar Falls

CEDAR FALLS, IA - According to KCRG, a car exploded and caught a home on fire on the 300 block of W 6th St Tuesday.

Emergency crews were called to the scene around 2:14 p.m. They discovered a car on fire and smoke and flames coming from the house.

Firefighters battled the blaze and extinguished it.

The three occupants of the house and their pets were able to exit the residence without injury.

It is unclear what caused the fire.
