DES MOINES, IA - According to Des Moines Police, one person was hurt in a traffic accident on the 2200 block of Washington Ave Friday.

The driver crashed into a utility pole around 1:57 p.m.
Rescue crews transported one person to an area hospital in critical condition.
It is unclear what caused the crash.
