DES MOINES, IA - A suspect slammed into a building located at 520 SE 4th St while on the run from the police Monday, according to WHO 13.
A police officer attempted to pull over a male suspect at SE 1st St and MLK Jr. Pkwy because they had outstanding felony arrest warrants.
The suspect refused to stop and led police on a chase which ended when he collided with a building around 5 a.m. The driver attempted to flee the area on foot but was located by law enforcement.
Authorities transported the suspect to an area hospital to be checked out before booking him in jail.
It is unclear whether or not the suspect was injured in the incident.
