Shannon received her bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Iowa in 2008. While at Iowa, she also studied English and Spanish and volunteered for numerous political campaigns. After graduating from Iowa, Shannon attended Drake University Law School where she received a Legislative Practice Certificate. She graduated from Drake University Law School in the spring of 2011 and was admitted to practice law in Iowa that fall.
Shannon is a member of the Iowa Association for Justice. She serves on the Executive Council of the IAJ’s New Lawyers Section and is a member of the IAJ Legislative Committee. Shannon is also a member of the Iowa State Bar Association and the Polk County Bar Association.
Outside of work, Shannon enjoys running outdoors and has participated in numerous marathons. She can also be found practicing yoga at local yoga studios, attending concerts, and cooking in her spare time.
